Example of why expensive - High rent: $4,300 a month on average for a two-bedroom, unfurnished luxury apartment. Course the problem is that people with money will pay high rents so they can feel like they are living with other wealthy people. This is part of what has bankrupted America. If wealthy people don't stop acting like fucking idiots with their money, the government might as well just tax it away from them. Maybe if the government gave them some sort of trophy for paying high taxes which would give them bragging rights in snob land they would pay the taxes with a giggle, a fart, and and an ass scratching without giving it much thought. I seriously don't think America has ever had a more ignorant group of rich people as we do today.
