I admit it. This book is a revalation. I knew that Sarah Palin was smart,
beautiful and a patriot. That is why the left cannot bear her and has
devoted itself, tooth and claw to her destruction. What I didn't know
is how very right the left is to fear her and how hard we must fight to
protect her. She is very smart and she knows, to the tips of her fingers,
what it is to be an American and what must be done to preserve us from
those who would do us harm. It is beyond ironi that President Obama's
two books claim to have been authored by him but speak in two different
voices, neither in any way resembling his. This book admits to a professional
author but sounds so much like Sarah Palin tht I almost had the sensation
that it was an audio book. I knew from the first page, as a mother myself,
that these were a mother's words about her own children. Close to the
end of this remarkable account of an attempted murder by media, when the
difference between left and right is described by reference to Thomas
Sowell's A Conflict of Visions, I knew that this is one voice our country
needs to hear. We need her. She doesn't need us. Unlike the Clintons,
the Obamas and even the Bush family, she would be far better off if she
went off and left us to our own well earned misery. Those other poltical
animals need us, to differing degrees, but we validate them. Sarah Palin
is different. She is a fully realized person who has already achieved
her own personhood and if anything, sacrifices to help us. After reading
this book, I am grateful that she has even bothered to explain and offer
us a sign that there are still such people. If we are to have any hope
at all of rebuilding, we will disregard the nonsense of the left and follow
our own instinctive reaction to Ms. Palin. What the left abhors is good
for America and good for us if we would just consider the truth. We can't
dig our way out of this hole. The bigger the government, the smaller the
people. She is a grown up and I for one salute her. As a matter of fact,
I am going to be buying this book for everyone I know. It is time we all
grow up.
