Photos from Levi Johnston's Playgirl pictorial were posted for Saturday morning, with the father of Sarah Palin's grandson losing his shirt but keeping the poses decidedly PG-13.
According to Daniel Nardicio, a spokesperson for Playgirl, additional photos of Johnston will be released on a weekly basis. Johnston, 19, said earlier this month, "People won't be disappointed. It will be tasteful."

What a lot of people are wondering is exactly how is this converting for Playgirl Magazine as some pictures, for obvious reasons, will only be for the Playgirl Subscribers. The pictures are getting a lot of teaser space on a lot of publications, and I would guess one reason for this is not just because it is Levi Johnston, but people in the media realize they are going to have to start doing a balance between free and subscriber walls. It is not something any of us like, but it most likely will be the reality of the coming new year. That is if people from the mighty Rupert Murdoch to the more lowly of us can figure it out. I imagine at some point someone will ask Playgirl Magazine, with all the Levi teaser space and time, how did it convert???
Media Websites can not just expect people to pay for content out of the goodness of their heart. It has to be sold like any other product. The art of the celeb was lost from the Playboy/Playgirl empire for a while. The formula of the old Playboy was not just to show a nameless person naked but to create a celeb, even if only a five minute celeb, out of the centerfold. Then as Playboy did this, celebs from outside the Playboy world discovered a Playboy association was not a bad thing. For a while, the art of the celeb reached an entire new level for Playboy. Then poof. It stopped.
I don't really know if Playgirl intends to show any pics of Levi full frontal or posing with a coke can or eating a banana or swinging boyishly on a tire swing. I don't know if expectations of those type pictures will get people to subscribe.
Regardless, Playgirl is doing the tease and the sale right. So what other publications have got to do is on the one hand write two part articles that on the one hand have value in themselves to create buzz and have the 2nd part of the article in depth enough to warrant a person subscribing to the online magazine.
One thing online magazines have got to get away from is wanting to be the first to break a news item. That is the free part of the internet. The paid part of it has got to be content that isn't wrote up in 30 minutes to beat the competition, but is well developed for a paid monthly publication.
On some browsers, playgirl enter button/links will try to do two pop ups. It will not go to the preview page.
The following link should take you to the preview page. Note this does show full frontal nudity of males.
