Obama says American kids spend too little time in school, putting them at a disadvantage with other students around the globe.
___
Yo, one world government asshole, if you want America's children to be like children in other countries, put them in damn, fucking sweat shops. Who the hell do you think you are kidding in putting our children down in comparison to children who'd risk everything to be able to come to America and go to our schools.
There is no sane reason to have children spend more time in school being tortured with mindless test and destroying their health by sitting in desk too much of a day. There is no reason to put them in an environment where they are made to feel like little shit heads any more than is necessary. I don't say that to be mean. Hell, I once was a little shit head. Now I am a big shit head. But my point is, kids need to have a life away from school where they are not defined by the prejudices of school.
And yo bastard butthole in chief, what is the deal with your two little darlings being sent to private school. I don't have anything against private schools but why in the hell would you send your children to private school while telling the more lowly Americans their children have to spend more time in public schools. Isn't there something of a disconnect there.
____
And yo, Big Ears in Chief, before talking about America's kids spending too little time in school compared to other industrialized nations maybe you should do a fact check. Kids in the U.S. spend more hours in school (1,146 instructional hours per year) than do kids in the Asian countries that persistently outscore the U.S. on math and science tests — Singapore (903), Taiwan (1,050), Japan (1,005) and Hong Kong (1,013). That is despite the fact that Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong have longer school years (190 to 201 days) than does the U.S. (180 days).

There is a lot more to life than the 3 R's. I don't mean to piss my educator friends off, but America is wasting a whole lot of money and human resources on education as it is. Learning really isn't rocket science unless that IS what you are learning. Learning is a normal, natural part of life. Kids learned as much in one room school houses when not doing chores on the family farm than they learn in this monster Federalized Bullshit we call Public Education. Kids who have been taught the basics and who like to learn and haven't become jaded by the education system probably learn about as much on their own with their computers than they learn through the school system.
