Tunnels beneath Vegas a refuge for homeless people

The article of course wants to paint all the homeless living in the tunnels as druggies. That might be partially valid. I don't know. The article points out that the people living in the tunnels are at risk if Vegas goes from dry to rains. The tunnels were built for flood waters and not people.

One thing that comes to mind in reading the article is that people who are down and out don't really expect any great frills. They mainly just want to be left the alone. I am not really a socialist but I still think the government should create a way for people on the bottom rung of our society to survive without a bunch of government bullshit. Maybe one project of the Federal Government should be to build parking garage type structures for the homeless. Including in the bare minimum housing should be bathrooms, showers, and lockers. People should be allowed to use the PG shelters without any paperwork or the government trying to play social worker. Point is to try to get homeless out of vacant buildings and out from beneath bridges and buildings.

I just flipped the channel off some person saying that Tiger Woods should abandon being a Buddhist and become a Christian because the Christians are so much more forgiving. Bullshit. But I guess that is the bottom of line of why so much hate has spewed toward Tiger by the Catholics who control the elite media. Tiger Woods is not one of their gang. If he had been a Catholic they would have pretty much rephrased all their propaganda to give Tiger Woods shelter from haters in the same way they did for Ted Kennedy through the years. Not saying they buried the Ted Kennedy scandals but they worked to minimize outrage from the scandals so as to avoid minimizing him as a public figure. Compare that to the way they've handled Methodist John Edwards.

I still think they are mainly picking on Tiger Woods because they no longer have Michael Jackson to trash and try to destroy.

I think the notion that the Catholics in the media are more forgiving of fellow Catholics than they are of people of other religions may be valid. Then again maybe that is just my perception and I am wrong.

Feds probe Obama effigy in Jimmy Carter's hometown. So I wonder how much time the Feds spent investigating all the effigies of George Bush. If the Feds aren't careful, they are the ones who are going to face charges of racism.

Reading New York times ranting and raving about Dick Cheney. They can do all the ranting and raving that they want. Dick Cheney was right when he warned that Obama's policies to fight terrorism are flawed. Attacking Dick Cheney is not going to change the facts on the underwear bomber, the murder of CIA employees, Iraq becoming a disaster, and Afghanistan being a large waste of military resources.
