France has a new domestic abuse law which basically means in France don't let your child grow up and get married. Marriage is just another license for the French Government to intrude in your life.

In France you can no longer be honest with your spouse. If you tell your loved one that they've got a huge bugger hanging out of their nose and that hurts their feelings then that might be psychological abuse. Is your loved one not watching their diet and needs to be told that they are becoming a fat cow. Oh no. That might hurt their feelings and is clearly against French law.

Do you like your love making loud with dirty talk. Oh, yeah, you dirty girl, in France that might land in jail.

For most people yelling and screaming is not abuse. It is a form of tension release and normally does not lead to anything beyond screaming. But you know, if it does lead to something else, then that something else is when the government might need to use its resources to help. Then, and only then, should the government consider the degree whether either party has used fighting words to provoke the fight.

According Arnold Schwarzenegger Health care reform, which started as noble and needed legislation, has become a trough of bribes, deals and loopholes. Yet you've heard of the bridge to nowhere. Well, this is health care to nowhere.

Arnold Schwarzenegger actually has supported Health care reform but as most sane people pretty much now agree, what Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have put forward is not workable. It taxes too much, puts more unfunded mandates on states and individuals which they have no constitutional right to put on states and individuals, and does not improve Health care. If the Health Care reform is passed in any of its current forms the states will have no choice to pass a constitutional amendment to make clear that commerce clause in constitution is not open ended and does not allow half the crazy shit the Federal Government has attempted to use it for.

I don't know. It seems to me though that if Greece can not operate within the confines of the EU then that may very quickly become true for other nations.

Russell Brand Proposed to Katy Perry. There is some speculation that the wedding could take place in the next six months. Brand's rep in London could not confirm the timing of the wedding or reports that the comedian bought an engagement ring shortly before Christmas at Cartier in London.

I find it very troubling that the morality police may be pushing people to get married when they would be better off just shacking up. If they are planning on starting a family then the starting point for that should be marriage.

But for example, I don't think the real problem for Tiger Woods was that he cheated. I think the real problem was that he simply was not ready to get married. If sponsors and agents and whoever are pushing for people to get married so they will look "respectable" when they are not ready to take that step then that is not good.

Call me a slut if you like, but I think the "moral police" need to be told to go fuck off. Consider how much Tiger Woods trying to act respectable has cost him in the long run.
