'The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien' is among the nominees.

'The Tonight Show With Jay Leno' is NOT among the nominees.

ABC's 'The Middle" didn't get any nods. The show does have some weak points but in my opinion it has a lot of strengths.

'24,' in its final season, and star Kiefer Sutherland, didn't receive Outstanding Drama Series or Lead Actor nominations. Maybe it had gone down hill some but I know lots of people who would not agree with that. Anyways.........

'Glee' and 'Modern Family' have been nominated under Comedy Series. 'True Blood' and 'The Good Wife' have been nominated under Outstanding Drama Series. Lead Actress Julianna Margulies earned a Lead Actress nomination for her role in 'The Good Wife.' I tend to like these shows so I can't think of anything much to bitch about. There are times I feel like Glee and Modern Family are too PC and cater to their perceived audience at the expense of a good line. Still, knowing the given demographics, a slip up could hurt the shows. Just ask Ashton Kutcher how fast one poorly conceived scene can kill a show's potential run. The great thing about True Blood not being a network show and also the genre is they can get by with more. By the nature of the show True Blood, they can slip in more wit and shock without controversy, and even if there is controversy there are no sponsors for those so inclined to complain to. {Words were being added above for no reason. Weird!!! I will try saving again.}

Bad boys Charlie Sheen and David Letterman were snubbed by the Emmy people. Who cares? They will cry all the way to the bank. {This is the 3rd time I've corrected the spelling of Charlie Sheen. I don't know what the heck is going on}
